GETTING THE EASY DAQ SOFTWARE

The data acquisition is controlled and configured by a graphical user interface that is available for Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows personal computers. We provide precompiled packages for the three OS. Linux bundles might have some troubles in old Linux installations. Users experiencing this should contact us.

Installation

Windows and Mac OSX users should follow the usual installation procedure. To set up the serial-USB connection to the board, they will need to download the VCP FDTI driver from http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm.

Linux users will have to download the Linux bundle and execute the bash script as superuser. From the folder that contains the bundle type:

sudo bash AlibavaEASy-X.Y.Z.bin

Linux has the USB-serial drivers in the kernel. The only possible issue has to do with permissions and the user might need to be added either in dialout with the command

sudo usermod -aG dialout LOGIN

and then logout and login again.
