Alibava Systems at the 2015 IEEE NSS/MIC in San Diego

Alibava Systems was at this year’s conference in San Diego, California (USA), which was held from October 31st to November 7th. We had a booth for exposing our range of products to the large number of scientific assistants that the conference counted on, measured in 2000 approximately. Moreover, on November 4th, Alibava System’s project manager, Carlos Jumilla, gave a presentation of EASy, our new educational system which helps to teach about how radiation detectors work. During the exposition, there was also a demonstration of its functions as well as of the different activities it is able to conduct.

 ALIBAVA Systems at the 16th European Strategy Session of Council in Brussels

ALIBAVA Systems took part in the Industrial Exposition at the 16th European Strategy Session of Council, held in Brussels, 29-30 May 2013.

The aim of this meeting was the approval of the first update to the European Strategy for Particle Physics, which was adopted by the CERN Council at its special session in Lisbon in July 2006.

The update was prepared by the European Strategy Group based on the scientific input from the Preparatory Group with the participation of representatives of the associate member states, the observer states, and other organizations.

ALIBAVA goes EASY, at the ICHEP 2014 Conference

ALIBAVA Systems participated in the 37th edition of the International Conference on High Energy Physics (ICHEP 2014), which that year was held in Valencia (Spain), from the 2nd to the 9th of July.

A portable telescope based on the ALIBAVA system for test beam studies

A scientific article describing a new test beam telescopebuilt using the Alibava System Classic for data acquisition, has just been published in the peer-reviewed journal “Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research”.

This test beam telescope system isable to reconstruct the track of the incident particles with reasonable precision and to determine the position of the beam particle interactions in a device under test (DUT), in order to test its tracking capabilities.

The telescope hardware is based on the existing ALIBAVA readout system and has been developed to be able to host several ALIBAVA daughter- and mother-boards: this way many tracking planes can be installed in order to realize a telescope.
